Belarusbank, Eximbank of Russia strike deal to support supplies of Russian goods

Belarusbank and Eximbank of Russia (part of the Russian Export Center Group) signed a loan agreement to the tune of EUR 30 million on June 23, 2020. The loan will be used to finance/refinance the settlements of Belarusbank’s corporate clients in the framework of trade contracts concluded with Russian suppliers on competitive terms. The document was signed in the framework of the existing framework agreement between the two financial institutions.

The deal is expected to further strengthen trade and economic relations between the two countries and give a fresh impetus to the expansion of cooperation between Belarusian and Russian companies.

The bank provides a wide range of trade finance services and supports trade turnover between its corporate clients and their counterparties from the Russian Federation”, Acting Chairman of the Board of Eximbank of Russia Roman Smagin said.
