The Health Protection Insurance Program makes it possible to quickly, comfortably and at a convenient time receive qualified medical care in the required amount in various health care institutions throughout the country, as well as avoid unforeseen expenses for treatment.

"Health Protection" is a product for those who want to monitor the condition of their body, perform a comprehensive check-up in a short time and immediately start controlling diseases, take care of the well-being and good feeling of elderly relatives, quickly issue health certificates for kindergartens, schoolchildren or students and solve many other issues.

Foreign citizens temporarily staying or temporarily residing in Belarus are required to have a Compulsory Medical Insurance Agreement, under which only emergency medical services are provided (in case of sudden acute conditions and diseases threatening the life of the patient or the health of others, accidents, poisoning, injuries, childbirth and emergency conditions during pregnancy freely, free of charge and in full). Medical health services, which is not emergency and urgent, is subject to a charge within the territory of Belarus and can be paid for only by voluntary medical insurance. If it is necessary to receive some medical care, a foreigner should only contact an Assistance company that will select the required specialist and medical institution.

Terms and conditions of Insurance

Citizens of the CIS countries who have reached the age of 3, as well as citizens of other countries and stateless persons from 15 to 70 years old inclusive, can be insured under the Health Protection Program.

The insurance is issued for 1 year and is valid throughout the territory of Belarus.

The Agreement comes into effect upon expiration of 15 calendar days after the payment of insurance premium.

  • functional diagnostics (without restrictions);
  • ultrasound examinations (no more than 5 examinations);
  • endoscopic examinations (no more than 2 examinations);
  • diagnostic biopsy (without restrictions);
  • X-ray diagnostics (without restrictions);
  • CT/ MRI scan (1 examination each);
  • restorative treatment (no more than 10 sessions for each type);
  • massage (no more than 10 sessions);
  • emergency dental care (1 time per insurance period);
  • COVID-19 test (1 test)

Preventive Medical Examination plus In addition to the Classic Insurance Program, this option provides for the arrangement and payment of a preventive medical examination – a health check-up in order to identify asymptomatic health problems.

PREVENTIVE MEDICAL EXAMINATION

Adults

For women: Complete blood count (CBC); common urine analysis (CUA); thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH); biochemical blood test (BBT): glucose,  aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine transaminase (ALT), total protein, total bilirubin, urea, creatinine, cholesterol, alkaline phosphatase; abdominal ultrasound; thyroid ultrasound; consultation of a general practitioner; consultation of a gynecologist; consultation of a neurologist; consultation of an endocrinologist; pelvic organs ultrasound.

For men: CBC; CUA;TSH; BBT: glucose, AST, ALT, total protein, total bilirubin, urea, creatinine, cholesterol, alkaline phosphatase; abdominal ultrasound; thyroid ultrasound; consultation of a general practitioner; consultation of a neurologist; consultation of an endocrinologist;

Children

Children under 3 years old: ophthalmologist; orthopedist; otorhinolaryngologist; electrocardiogram (ECG); CBC; CUA; pediatrician's appointment (according to the results of all doctors).

Kindergarten children: otorhinolaryngologist; neurologist; ophthalmologist; orthopedist; speech therapist; surgeon (boys); gynecologist (girls); ECG; CBC; CUA; glucose; helminths; enterobiosis; pediatrician's appointment (according to the results of all doctors); registration of a  child's health certificate.

First-graders: otorhinolaryngologist; neurologist; ophthalmologist; orthopedist; speech therapist; surgeon (boys); gynecologist (girls); ECG; CBC; CUA; glucose; helminths; enterobiosis; pediatrician's appointment (according to the results of all doctors); registration of a child's health certificate.

To conclude an insurance contract, you must address to an outlet of Belarusbank and provide an identity document.

How to use the services under the insurance contract

To arrange medical care, you need to call by phone +375 17 388 08 62 (multi-channel), +375 44 727 90 60 (A 1), working hours: 08:00 – 20:00 daily or leave a request on the website bgs.by. An application, submitted before 12:00 on a business day, will be processed on the same day, after 12:00 – on the working day following the day of application submission.

When contacting by phone or when making an application on the website, it is necessary to specify personal data: Full name, contact phone number, insurance contract number, explain the situation, provide a convenient date and time for visiting a medical institution.

Insurance services under the voluntary insurance of medical expenses "Health Protection" from Belarusbank are provided on the basis of agency agreement dated 13.10.2011 No. 151-1770 on behalf of Belgosstrakh Belarusian Republican Unitary Insurance Company (special permit (license) dated 10.12.2003 No.02200/13-00001).
