A delegation of Belarusbank headed by Chairman of the Board Viktar Ananich met with representatives of the leading German banks in the framework of the visit to Frankfurt am Main. Today the largest bank of Belarus is building up partner relationships with key banking institutions of Germany.
Belarusbank’s meetings with Deutsche Bank AG, DZ Bаnk and AKA Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft mbH focused on topical issues of bilateral cooperation and exchange of successful banking business experience. The parties expressed their willingness to develop cooperation in the spheres of trade and export finance and discussed projects in the fields of power engineering and petrochemical industry.

The meeting took place in the office of Deutsche Bundesbank – the regulator of German banking business. The Belarusian party presented information about the country and international activities of Belarusbank in Europe. Other topics for discussion included the supervisory work of Deutsche Bundesbank and the growing potential of Frankfurt as a financial center of Europe in view of Brexit.

Summarizing the results of the meetings, the parties expressed confidence that joint initiatives will enable them to expand partner relations between banks of Germany and Belarus and promote mutually beneficial cooperation and the further strengthening of friendship and trust.
