Belarusbank has become the national partner of Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The corresponding agreement was concluded with the National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus. The parties identified the areas of mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of the preparation for and organization of the contest of junior singers in Belarus.
This year’s Junior Eurovision will gather a record-big number of participant countries in history since 2003. The total number of participating states is 20: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, France, Macedonia, Georgia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, the Netherlands, Wales, Ukraine. Junior Eurovision 2017 which was conducted in Georgia had 16 participants.
Belarus has already had the experience of hosting the prestigious song contest. In 2010 millions of viewers around Europe witnessed a magnificent show abundant in bright emotions. The best junior performers of the continent had a bulk of unforgettable impressions, joyful moments and new acquaintances.
For reference: The finals of the national qualification tour of Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will be held on August 31. According to the tradition, the ultimate phase of the contest will be the Grand Final that will be broadcast live on Belarus 1 and Belarus 2 TV channels and online on the official website of the media holding: www.tvr.by.
The final show of Junior Eurovision 2018 is scheduled for November 25. Rising stars will be lit in Minsk-Arena sports complex which already hosted the song contest in 2010 and complies with the requirements of TV shooting and broadcasting.
