On November 20, 2018 during the official visit of Alexander Stubb, Vice-President of European Investment Bank (hereinafter EIB) to the Republic of Belarus a Finance Contract between Belarusbank and EIB was signed.
In the frames of the concluded Finance Contract, EIB provides a loan to Belarusbank for financing of small and medium enterprises in the Republic of Belarus.

EIB is a state financial institution of the European Union financing European regions’ development in the form of long-term loans. The bank provides financing and advisory support in realization of investment projects, aimed at the implementation of EU policy objectives. More than 90% of EIB activities are oriented towards Europe, at the same time the bank is a big global investor.
