During his visit to the People’s Republic of China (Beijing), Deputy Chairman of the Board of Belarusbank Viktar Perepelitsa met with Vice President of Citic Construction Co., Ltd. Sun Lei in the headquarters of the Chinese company. The visit was organized with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in China.
To ensure the fulfillment of Belarusian President’s Decree No.163 dated May 8, 2018 “On Belarus-China Investment Fund”, Belarusbank and Citic Construction Co., Ltd. signed a Roadmap Memorandum on the creation of Belarus-China Investment Fund. The purpose of the document is to make the fund ready for financing projects in Belarus.
The roadmap was approved on the eve of the working trip of the Head of State to China in the framework of his visit to the Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on June 9-10, 2018.
The idea of the first joint financial institute which started to be implemented by Belarusbank, Citic Construction Co., Ltd. and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus following the official visit of the Belarusian President to China in 2016 lies in the creation of a new platform for the support of efficient projects in various areas on the Belarusian territory.
