The international rating agency Fitch Ratings 01.02.2018 has upgraded the Long-Term Foreign Currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of Belarusbank to ‘B’ from ‘B-’ with a Stable Outlook. The Short-Term IDR was affirmed at ‘B’, the Support Rating was upgraded to ‘4’ from ‘5’, the Support Rating Floor was upgraded to 'B' from 'B-'.
According to Fitch Ratings, the major rating drivers for Belarusbank were potential support from the government of Belarus, high systemic importance and upgrade of the sovereign ratings of Belarus.
The ratings upgrade demonstrates the transparency and openness of Belarusbank’s business showing a high level of financial solvency and characterizing the Bank as a reliable partner.
