On May 18, 2017 Belarusbank welcomed a delegation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which consisted of representatives of government authorities, the Embassy of Pakistan to the Republic of Belarus, the State Bank of Pakistan, educational institutions and other organizations.
The parties noted the positive dynamics in the development of the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Belarus, including the political sphere. Special emphasis was placed on the mutual interests of the two countries regarding the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, including the Belt and Road initiative.
Guests from Pakistan received information about the macroeconomic indicators of Belarus and the banking system of the country. They were particularly interested in in the role of the bank, including such aspects as corporate business, retail business, international cooperation, etc.
The Pakistani delegation viewed a detailed presentation of Belarusbank, which was followed by a discussion with representatives of the bank.
The participants of the meeting came to the conclusion that, despite the existing progress in the sphere of export-import relations, there is a big growth potential in bilateral trade, investment cooperation and other areas.
