Belarusbank borrows €250 mln via syndicated loan

Belarusbank has taken out a syndicated loan to the aggregate tune of EUR 250 million.

The relevant interbank agreement was signed during the 21st St Petersburg International Banking Conference. The mandated lead arrangers of the deal were Alfa-Bank, Transcapitalbank and Promsvyazbank. The pool of lenders comprised 17 financial institutions, including Russian and Latvian banks.

“Today’s syndicated lending deal is one of the largest deals of the kind that have been lately arranged by Belarusian borrowers. The borrowed funds will be used to finance nationally important efficient projects carried out by the bank’s clients, which is expected to further promote the development of economic relations between Belarus and partner states”, Belarusbank Executive Director Victor Perepelitsa said.
