Chairman of the Board of Belarusbank Siarhei Pisaryk has been elected Vice President of the Finance and Banking Council of the CIS. The decision made by the annual meeting of the council is attributed to Belarusbank’s contribution to the development of international connections.
During the meeting the council read the yearly report (2015) and outlined the major activities for the current year.
The participants of the meeting appreciated the council’s efforts aimed at the promotion of integration of financial markets, investment cooperation. Other positive aspects discussed by the council included the search for new fields of banking cooperation within the CIS and joint efforts to overcome negative trends in the global economy.
The council highly praised the Finance and Banking Forum titled “Minsk Business Meetings” that was organized in Minsk in November 2015 in association with Belarusbank. The forum focused on the functioning of the CIS finance markets and challenges brought about by the global economic crisis.
