The 8th Vienna Financial & Economic Forum of the CIS and Eastern Europe countries took place in the Austrian capital on April 28-30, 2015. The forum, which gathered over 120 representatives of the financial sector from various countries, focused on new schemes of cooperation within the framework of the EU and the Eurasian Economic Union, the development of national and international establishments on the stock market, measures to curb country risks and corporate risks in the new economic environment, as well as current issues of export finance. Among the participants there were top managers of the central banks and stock exchanges, CEOs of the largest commercial banks, representatives of financial institutions, bank unions and associations, innovation and investment companies from the CIS and the EU.
The forum was organized by the CIS Finance & Banking Council and the Banking Association of Central & Eastern Europe (BACEE) in association with the CIS Executive Committee.
“The forum is more than just a networking venue. It is a great experience. It is an opportunity to learn about the latest banking practices”, Belarusbank Chairman of the Board Siarhei Pisaryk said.
Within the framework of the forum the head of Belarusbank met with representatives of the financial sector of Europe and the CIS.
The Financial & Economic Forum of the CIS and Eastern Europe is a landmark event which is expected to encourage the CIS-EU economic integration.
