Belarusbank draws EUR 80 mln syndicated loan

Belarusbank signed a EUR 80 million syndicated loan agreement on December 12, 2014. The lenders are 11 financial institutions from Russia and Latvia. The original mandated lead arrangers of the loan are Russia’s NOVIKOMBANK, Alfa Bank and Promsvyazbank. NOVIKOMBANK acts as agent bank of the transaction.

The aforementioned project is the 11th syndicated loan drawn by Belarusbank on the international finance market. The latest transaction attracted five new banks, which have not participated in Belarusbank’s syndicated loans before.

“The vivid interest of Latvian financial institutions towards Belarusbank’s syndicated loan means that the bank should enhance cooperation with Baltic partners. Besides, we received support from partner banks in Russia, despite a complicated situation on the Russian market. This shows that Belarusbank has an international reputation of a reliable borrower. The bank’s transparent and comprehensive policy on the international markets enables the successful implementation of large-scale projects, regardless of the market situation”, Belarusbank Chairman of the Board Siarhei Pisaryk said.
