Belarusbank’s international business highly appraised (press release)

Belarusbank has received the Certificate of Merit from the International Coordination Council of Banking Associations in the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe (the IBC). The Certificate was presented to representatives of the bank during the 19th “Bank. Insurance. Leasing” exhibition by Chairman of the IBC Alexander Murychev.

For reference: The development and strengthening of business relations with international financial institutions is one of the top priorities of Belarusbank.

Belarusbank has repeatedly received international awards from reputed financial periodicals (such as The Banker, Euromoney, Global Finance, EMEA Finance, etc.) and has been many times granted the title of the best bank in Belarus, Central and Western Europe. According to the Banker, in 2013 Belarusbank was ranked 399th among the largest banks of the world, 1st in Belarus and 12th in Central and Eastern Europe. Belarusbank brand had the 480th position among The Top 500 Banking Brands.

Belarusbank establishes cooperation with international organizations in multiple spheres. It was the first Belarusian bank to become member of the International Forfaiting Association in 2006. In addition, the bank is a regular member of the Banking Association for Central and Eastern Europe, an official member of the World Savings Bank Institute, a partner bank of the Interbank Consortium of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, etc.

As of September 1, 2014 Belarusbank brought over $11 billion of foreign resources (gross) to the Belarusian economy, including project and trade finance. Of these $2 billion came in tied loans for the modernization of production facilities and purchase of advanced equipment.
