22 banks from Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America took part in the competition. The editors, assisted by industry analysts and consultants, selected the best banks by growth in assets, profitability, long-term strategy, customer service, competitiveness and innovation.
"Each region and individual country presents unique challenges for banks and their customers, especially under the difficult conditions global financial markets continue to face. For this reason, customers must depend on excellence in execution from their banking partners. These are the banks that are providing best-in-class solutions for these distinctive markets", says Joseph Giarraputo, Global Finance publisher.
It is the third time Belarusbank is awarded this sonorous title. The results of the study will be available in the May edition of Global Finance. The awarding ceremony will take place during the annual meeting of the IMF and the World Bank in Washington, in autumn.
