Rating agency Moody’s confirmed credit ratings of Belarusbank

As a result of outlook of Belarusbank's activity international rating agency Moody's Investors Service Ltd on February 22, 2011 confirmed international credit ratings at the same level:

  2011
Long-term global foreign-currency deposit rating    B2
Long-term global local currency deposit rating  B1
 Bank financial strength rating  E+
 Outlook  Stable
Moody's confirmed a standalone Bank Financial Strength Rating of E+ to Belarusbank, which translates into a B2 Baseline Credit Assessment. The rating is constrained by the bank's dominant market position as the country's largest bank by assets, capital and retail deposits, as well as its assets quality which partly secured by the government's local authorities guaranties.
Moody's assigns a long-term global local currency deposit rating of B1. The rating reflects the very high probability of systemic support in case of a stress situation and takes into account majority state ownership and dominant position of Belarusbank in the country's banking system.
The bank's long-term global foreign-currency deposit rating of B2 is constrained by the foreign currency deposit ceiling of B2 for Belarus.
All of the Belarusbank's international credit ratings carry a stable outlook.

Starting from 2007 Moody's Investors Service is the second international rating agency which assigns international ratings to Belarusbank.
