Belarusbank, Belarus Development Bank sign SME support agreements

Belarusbank and the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus have concluded long-term cooperation agreements in the framework of the SME financial support program.

The program stipulates the provision of finance in Belarusian rubles, US dollars and euros at the cost of the funds of the Development Bank, as well as funds raised by the Bank from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (UAE).  

The program was designed to support individual entrepreneurs registered in Belarus, micro and small enterprises, medium companies in all parts of the country. Credit support will apply to such spheres as startup companies, support of regions, social entrepreneurship, female entrepreneurship, etc. Such type of finance is expected to encourage the development of the named spheres in the Republic of Belarus.

Belarusbank holds the leading position in the SME lending market. This year the bank has channeled more than Br800m to the support of the SME sector.
