International bank transfers are among the most popular traditional services of Belarusbank widely used both by corporate and retail customers. The number of such transfers increases annually by 17% on average. In the last 5 years our clients have made 309 042 transfers remitting thereby USD 43.8 mln in equivalent.
490 new Western Union service centers have been opened since January 1, 2002. Their number as of September 2007 was 561 and it is 68% from the total number of those that were opened by the banks of the Republic of Belarus. As a result of establishing new centers the number of sent/paid transfers by international Western Union system has increased three-fold in the last 5 years.
Since 2003 the bank has made more than 600 thousand transfers by Western Union system in the total amount of USD 200.4 mln.
