Belarusbank timely repaid its US$ 45 mln syndication. The deal was executed in June 2008. MLAs of the deal were reputable German banks Bayern LB and Commerzbank.
"It is actually a very important signal for the market. Your bank behaviour to the large extent determines the investor's strategy towards cooperation with all Belarusian borrowers. I shall point out that Belarusbank behaviour is excellent indeed," - replied a representative of one of the lender-banks.
Thus, blameless accomplishment of its debt liabilities made by the largest Belarusian bank turned out a new signal to foreign partners showing successful performance not only of Belarusbank but financial system of the country as a whole.
