“Working meetings that we had with the AIIB representatives in Minsk, Beijing and Sanya gave us a clear view of the opportunity of establishing of a mutually beneficial cooperation relationship”, Belarusbank Chairman of the Board Viktar Ananich noted in his welcome speech.  “We are aware of the AIIB’s ambitions plans, including those that involve non-Asian members of the bank. Belarus may become the bank’s first European partner that will contribute to the implementation of those plans. And Belarusbank may become the AIIB’s backbone bank for the implementation of those initiatives”, he said.

Belarus’ favorable geographic location, its compact size, the high degree of governability and stability open great cooperation opportunities, especially in the field of infrastructure projects.
