American Express Bank Ltd., New York has awarded the bank the Certificate of Excellent Performance in International Payments & Outstanding Cooperation in International Trade in 2005.
This award is granted to a bank which provided the best quality of international transfers and settlements of the foreign trade transactions using documentary settlements.
Belarusbank has correspondent relations with American Express Bank Ltd., New York since 1994. The majority of USD payments are settled though the nostro accounts with this bank. Moreover, AEB was the first bank which granted us the credit line for uncovered documentary transactions.
During the presentation of the Award on December 15, 2005, Mrs. Marina Drevetskaya, manager of Moscow Representative Office of American Express Bank, mentioned high professionalism of the bank's employees.
It should be noted that this Award is the result of serious work of the bank's branches, especially branch No. 201 (Vitebsk), No. 400 (Grodno), No. 527 (Minsk), No. 703 (Bobrujsk) which showed the greatest volume and best quality of international payments.
